Ramakrishna Mission High School

        The Ashrama’s foray into educational services began in 1957 when at the request of Hindustan Shipyard Limited, the Ashrama began to administer their Hindustan Shipyard Colony Elementary School at Gandhigram. The school was later handed over back to them and is presently popular as the “Hindustan Shipyard Junior College”. 


The Ashrama started “Sri Sarada Bala Vihar”, a pre-primary school in 1958 which has slowly developed into a primar and upper primary school in the course of time the mind.”

            The school which later came to be known as Ramakrishna Mission High school is presently a Government recognized English medium co-education school from Kindergarten to 10th standard. It educates around 850 students with the able support of dedicated teachers and non-teaching staff.

                                                                                                  

The School is technology driven with digital class rooms and virtual classes to enhance our school curriculum, and to support and enhance the learning experience of students and professional development in our teachers too. It has a well equipped computer lab, science laboratory and library. Facilities for extra-curricular activities including indoor games like table tennis, caroms, chess and a well-trained School band are the pride of the school. Value education classes conducted in the campus help to make our students enlightened and responsible citizens of the country.
